This is a plain-language draft that describes how the service actually behaves. Have it reviewed by a lawyer in your jurisdiction before you rely on it commercially.
What we collect, what we deliberately do not, and who else sees it.
Audio
While a session is running, your microphone audio is streamed to our servers and forwarded to a translation provider. It is held in memory only for as long as the sentence being translated, and it is never written to disk by us.
We never keep a recording. There is no audio file of your talk anywhere in our systems.
Session notes
By default we keep the text of each session — what was heard and what it was translated to, with timings — so you can read it back, search it and export it from your dashboard. This is the notes feature; it is text only, never audio.
You can turn it off for your account at any time under Account in your dashboard, and you can delete individual sessions or everything at once. With it off, nothing new is recorded.
Notes are deleted automatically after the retention period shown on that page. The app also tells you at the start of a session when notes are being saved, so it is never happening silently.
What else we store
Your account details (name, email, and a profile picture if you sign in with Google), your orders and receipts, your licence keys, and the machines a licence is activated on.
For each session we record when it started and ended, how many seconds of audio were forwarded, how many characters of subtitle were produced, and the languages involved. We keep this to bill correctly, to size capacity, and to investigate abuse. It stays even if you delete the notes, because it is billing data rather than content.
Device identification
To enforce the machine limit on a licence, the app derives a fingerprint from the machine and sends us a hash of it. We store the hash, not the underlying values, so it identifies a machine to us without describing it.
Who else is involved
Stripe processes payments and holds your card details; we never see them. Google handles sign-in if you choose it. Our translation providers process the audio stream during a session under their own terms.
Your choices
You can see and release your activated machines from your dashboard, turn session notes off, and delete any or all of your notes yourself.
To delete your account and its history, email us and we will remove it, keeping only the payment records we are legally required to retain.
